Hey, I’m Cavaz.
I am 27 years old I live in Michigan. I have given up my regular sleep times. Now I get to see the stars at night. This is what my life is, like now I stay up late. I see the stars.
My journey into astrophotography started back in November of 2024. I live in the Great Lakes State. I know that the weather here is really crazy.. There was something about those cold November nights that made me want to do something. The nights were crisp and cold. I loved looking at the stars. I decided to stop looking at the stars and start taking pictures of astrophotography. I wanted to capture the stars. That is how my journey, into astrophotography really started.
I am doing this because I want to know why I do this thing. The reason I do this is that I have to figure out why I do this. So I am trying to understand why I do this.
Seeing a nebula or a galaxy on your screen for the first time is really something special.
A nebula or a galaxy is something that has been, in the dark we cannot see it with our eyes it is waiting for a time to be seen.
When you finally see a nebula or a galaxy it is a feeling.
You have to be patient and wait for an exposure to see a nebula or a galaxy.
It is a feeling to see something that was hidden in the dark for so long.
A nebula or a galaxy is a thing to see.
For me photography is not about the camera equipment or the technical settings although I really enjoy learning about the camera equipment. It is about being patient and following a process. Dealing with the humidity the lake effect clouds and the frost on my camera lens has taught me a lot about being persistent. Photography has taught me more about persistence than anything else in my life. I have learned to be patient with photography and to keep trying when things get tough like when I am dealing with the lake effect clouds and the frost on my camera lens. Photography is really, about the patience and the process of taking pictures and that is what I love about photography.

This site is a record of my progress with astronomy. I am still new to the game of astronomy. I learn something new every time I do a polar alignment. This is where I am keeping my favorite astronomy shots, my astronomy. Everything in, between as I figure out how to navigate the night sky with my astronomy equipment.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my corner of the universe. Clear skies!
